Ms Babalola completed her medical degree from Newcastle University in 2010. She went on to Foundation training in the Northern Deanery which included an Ophthalmology rotation in Sunderland Eye Infirmary.
Ms Babalola started her Ophthalmology training in the Northern Ireland Deanery in 2013 which she continued in the Northern Deanery and completed in 2022. She completed a year-long fellowship in Paediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus (squint surgery) at the Hospital for Sick Children (Sick Kids) Toronto Canada.
She was appointed as a Consultant Paediatric Ophthalmologist and Strabismus surgeon in August 2023.
