Miss Pinky Khatri is a highly experienced Consultant Gynaecologist at James Cook University Hospital, where she specialises in laparoscopic (keyhole) and robotic surgery, as well as the management of endometriosis and other women’s health issues. With over 25 years of experience in the field, she is dedicated to providing exceptional care to women facing gynaecological challenges.
Education and Training
Miss Khatri completed her medical degree in 1996 and subsequently trained in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in Edinburgh. She further honed her expertise by completing a fellowship in Minimal Access Surgery (Keyhole Surgery) and Endometriosis, equipping her with the skills needed for advanced surgical procedures.
Professional Experience
In her role at South Tees NHS Trust, Miss Khatri serves as the Lead of the Endometriosis Centre, where she is responsible for overseeing the management of complex benign gynaecological cases. She performs minimal access surgeries and receives tertiary referrals from across the country, highlighting her reputation as a go-to expert in this specialty. Working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, she ensures comprehensive care for patients with complex conditions.

She has the required credentials to practice Gynaecology independently in the UK which include:
- A full-time permanent NHS Consultant Post since 2014
- Completion of the UK Obstetrics and Gynaecology Royal College Examination – MRCOG/FRCOG
- Certification of completion of training in the UK in Obstetrician and Gynaecologist (CCT in Obstetrics and Gynaecology))
- Accreditation on the GMC specialist register in Obstetrics and Gynaecology (6070297)
- Full Membership with the British Society of Gynaecology Endoscopy (BSGE)
- She is fully accredited and holds membership with the Royal College of Obstetrics and Gynaecology (RCOG)
