Mr Wong completed his medical degree at Nottingham University in 2008. He went on to foundation training in the South Thames deanery, which included an ophthalmology rotation at Maidstone hospital.
Yun completed a FTSTA1 in ophthalmology at the Salisbury District Hospital in 2010. In 2011 he achieved a place on the Northern Deanery training programme for Ophthalmology. He completed a fellowship in oculoplastics at the Royal Victoria Infirmary having completed a TSC in oculoplastics at the Sunderland Eye Infirmary in his previous rotation. After CCT in August 2017 Yun completed a year long oculoplastic and orbital fellowship in Brisbane with Prof Tim Sullivan.
He was appointed as a consultant oculoplastic and orbital surgeon at James Cook University Hospital in June 2018.
He gained full admission to the Royal College of Ophthalmologists in 2015
He was awarded the RED bursary by the British Ophthalmological Surveillance Unit (BOSU) committee for his project on dysthyroid optic neuropathy in 2015.
